Bydgoszcz is actively implementing modern energy management systems in municipal facilities. The use of advanced technologies and adherence to the highest ecological and functional standards are crucial for improving the city's energy efficiency. Rother’s Mills is an excellent example of an investment that successfully combines the past with the future, creating a space that is welcoming for both residents and tourists.
Rother’s Mills, located in the heart of Bydgoszcz on Mill Island, is a historic complex of buildings that, after years of industrial use, has undergone an impressive revitalisation. The renovated buildings, dating back to 1848-1849, now function as a modern Science and Culture Centre “Park Kultury”, offering a wide range of cultural and educational events.
Between 2018 and 2021, major construction and conservation works were carried out. As a result, the complex now houses exhibition, conference, and educational rooms, as well as restaurants and a café. During the revitalisation, an innovative building management system based on KNX technology was implemented, integrating various automation systems to ensure efficient energy management and user comfort.
Benefits:
- significant energy savings
- increased user comfort
- improved functioning of the facility through the integration of various automation systems
